Designing A Skyport That Doesn't Make Passengers Angry
My first airport in Skyport Tycoon had plenty of gates and money coming in, yet the happiness meter kept sinking. I couldn't figure out why until I watched a single passenger walk halfway across the map to reach their gate.
Layout is the hidden game here. Passengers hate long walks and long queues, and unhappy passengers cost you money over time. Keep security, shops, and gates in a tight, logical flow rather than sprawling out just because you have the space.
Add facilities along the paths people actually take. A café shoved in a corner nobody passes earns nothing. Put amenities where the foot traffic already is and both revenue and happiness climb together.
When you expand, resist the urge to just bolt on more gates. Plan the new section as a self-contained cluster with its own security and services. My second airport ran smoothly from day one once I built it in neat modules instead of one messy blob.
