Little Things You Might Miss In Hollow Tide

Little Things You Might Miss In Hollow Tide

July 10, 2026 · Lena Brandt

Hollow Tide never tells you much, which is the whole point. But because it's so quiet, it's easy to rush past details that add up to something. On my second playthrough I found things I'd walked straight past the first time.

Check the tide markers on the walls. They aren't decoration. Several puzzles hinge on reading how high the water once reached, and the game trusts you to notice without a big flashing prompt.

Take the boat to the small islands you're not required to visit. There's no reward marker pulling you there, but each one has a tiny piece of the story. One of them completely changed how I understood the ending.

My biggest tip is simply to stop and listen. The audio shifts subtly near important spots, almost like the game is nudging you. Headphones make a real difference. This isn't a game to power through, it's one to sink into for an hour.
