About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping tips about whatever game we were stuck on. At some point we figured other people had the same questions, so we turned those messy notes into proper guides. The site grew from there, one game at a time.,Everything here comes from actually sitting down and playing. Nobody on the team writes about a game they haven't finished or at least sunk serious hours into. If a level is frustrating, we say so. If a mechanic clicks after a few tries, we explain what finally made it make sense.,We pick games based on what's getting played and what leaves people scratching their heads. Sometimes it's a huge release, sometimes it's a quiet little puzzle app that deserves more attention. Genre doesn't matter much to us as long as it's worth the time.,There's no big company behind this. It's a small editorial team who like games and like writing about them clearly, without the marketing noise you get everywhere else.

Lena Brandt — Lena has been writing about games for over a decade and still keeps a phone dedicated entirely to testing new releases. She handles most of the RPG and strategy coverage.
